Jamie’s Farm is looking for one Outdoor Activities Apprentice to join the team at our farm near Bath (SN13 8QA), starting in September 2026. This 12-month apprenticeship is open to young people aged 17–21 and offers 30 hours a week (usually over four days) on an apprenticeship wage. At Jamie’s Farm, young people visit the farm for a week to try new things, spend time outdoors, and build confidence. As an apprentice, you’ll help welcome and support them while learning lots of new skills yourself.
This role is great if you enjoy being outside, working with animals, and helping people. You’ll join activities like walks, feeding animals, cooking, gardening, and group sessions with visiting young people, while also helping with day-to-day farm life. During the year, you’ll work towards a Level 3 Outdoor Activity Instructor qualification with support from the team. You don’t need lots of experience, just a positive attitude, kindness, and a willingness to learn. In return, you’ll get training, mentoring, meals during work, 39 days’ holiday (pro rata), and help with travel or accommodation if needed, making it a great first step into outdoor education, youth work, or farm-based roles.
