Bristol Impact Fund 3 – Small Grants Now Open

Bristol City Council's Bristol Impact Fund 3 (BIF3) small grants programme is now accepting applications. Grants of £2,500 to £11,000 per year are available for two years (September 2026 to August 2028) to support community projects and activities across Bristol.

Deadline: Tuesday 28 April 2026, 12pm

Who is this for?
This round is aimed at smaller and emerging community groups, particularly those working with communities experiencing inequality. Priority will be given to:

– Small or emerging organisations (annual turnover under £100,000) whose work builds community power
– Resident-led activity in Bristol's most deprived neighbourhoods (bottom 20%)
– Projects supporting or led by LGBTQIA+ communities
– Projects supporting or led by Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities
– Youth-led work (ages 18–25) in neighbourhoods in the bottom 30% most deprived areas

Larger organisations (turnover over £100,000) can apply, but only if the work is directly led by or serving one of the communities above.
Eligibility

To apply, your organisation must:

– Be based in Bristol, with at least 3 Bristol-based trustees or committee members
– Have a governing document (such as a constitution)
– Have a bank account in the organisation's name with two signatories
– Be one of these types: CIO, CIC, Company Limited by Guarantee, Community Benefit Company, or CASC

How to apply
The process has two stages:

1. Expression of Interest (EOI) — complete the online form before the 28 April deadline.
2. Read the application guidance first, as it includes all the questions, eligibility details, and tips to help you apply.
3. Co-development — if shortlisted, you'll be invited to work with the BIF3 team to develop your proposal further.
